what we offer

programs

Transformation happens within the context of community and healthy relationships. Guests are welcomed to The Gathering Inn, and begin their journey out of homelessness. The TGI team offers acceptance, security, and encouragement. Lives are impacted and joy is shared.

Emergency housing

The Gathering Inn offers four emergency shelters. These programs invite individuals to participate as guests in this life changing resource. Guests are not only offered meals and a safe place to sleep, but they also gain resources that equip them to move from homelessness to sustainable housing. These resources include individualized case management, resource navigation, mental health clinicians, life skills classes, addiction recovery classes, and a clothing closet.

The South Placer Emergency Shelter is a nomadic shelter located in Roseville. This shelter welcomes individuals as well as families. Partnerships with churches throughout Placer County make this uniquely special program possible by treating guests to a meal and a safe place to sleep. This is all provided in an atmosphere of encouragement, connection, and security. During the day, guests are provided with resources that meet their basic needs, encourage growth, and foster accountability. Additionally, a medical and a dental clinic are available on site weekly to serve our guests.

PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING

The Gathering Inn’s Permanent Supportive Housing Program provides long-term supportive housing to those who are most vulnerable. The program consists of 7 homes located throughout Placer County. Self-dependence is cultivated through life skills education and accountability within a community setting.

supportive services

Medical Triage

Volunteer medical staff open the doors of TGI’s medical clinic each Saturday to provide services to our guests and members of the community. Services provided may include blood pressure checks, some prescription medications, wound care, and referral to specialty care.

Mental Health

TGI offers individual and group therapy sessions to our guests through licensed mental health professionals on site and through tele-visits. Therapists also meet with TGI’s case managers on a weekly basis to offer support.

Case Management

Guests are matched with case managers who seek to empower guests to overcome barriers to housing. Once guests’ needs are identified, and individualized action plans are created, TGI’s case managers offer resource navigation and help guide guests to achieve vocational opportunities, stability and a fresh start.

Housing Navigation

TGI’s Housing Coordinator assists guests with identifying and securing permanent housing through relationships with landlords, housing authorities, and case managers. Guests also have the opportunity to complete a “Ready to Rent” program which provides them with information on tenant/landlord rights, how to be a good neighbor, and financial responsibility.
