Our Services:  How We Care for the Homeless

The Gathering Inn provides the following services free of charge:

  • Basic Needs:  Food, clean clothing, toiletries, and safe shelter during the day and overnight.
  • Transportation Services:  Taking guests to appointments such as Placer County offices,
       and transportation to and from the host church each day.
  • Gateway Resource Center:  On-site access to social and employment services for our homeless guests.
  • Case Management Services:  Linking our homeless guests to community-based services.
  • Community Health Clinic:  Triage healthcare on-site reduces
    the use of community emergency medical services. It is open to the community at large.
    Saturdays 9:00am - 11:30am
  • Dental Clinic:  Comprehensive dental services to our guests.
  • Clothing Closet:  Appropriate seasonal clothing on-site to our homeless guests and to community members who
       need help making ends meet.  Open Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9:30 am - 11 am
  • Access to Recovery services:  A substance abuse treatment program.
  • Mental health screening:  Access to emergency mental health intervention and support in partnership with Placer County.
  • Life Skills Training:  Building the basic social and behavioral skills that are prerequisites for successful living.
  • Interim Care Program (ICP):  Housing for hospital patients who would otherwise be discharged to a homeless situation,
       in partnership with Sutter and Kaiser Hospitals.
