Lori Benitez

Vice President - Retired Roseville Police
A Roseville native, Lori attended Sierra College and CSUS before getting a Juris Doctorate from Lincoln Law School. She's a veteran, member of American Legion, and retired from the Roseville Police Department where she still volunteers. She is the President of Retired City of Roseville Employees, a member of the City of Roseville Inclusion Committee, the Women’s Improvement Club of Roseville, and the Roseville Civic Center in Human Resources. Lori was taught at an early age by her parents to give back to the community, help those in need, and never look away. While chatting with TGI clients one evening, she found that half the people at her table were one-time residents of her neighborhood. It brought home to Lori that homelessness can happen to anyone, and is not planned or wanted.

Kimberly Kelley, Secretary

Kaiser Permanente Administrator

Kim is the Support Services Administrator for Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and Health Plan in Roseville. She oversees the medical center building and infrastructure operational activities, and oversight of the staff who ensure the buildings are clean, safe and functional. As a representative of Kaiser, being on the board helps support Kaiser's corporate mission of improving the health of our members and the communities we serve. Being on the TGI board helps Kim fulfill one of her goals by adding value to the life of others.

Bonnie Marx


Commercial real estate broker, owner of Landmarx Healthcare Property Advisory. Bonnie has been on the TGI Board for over 10 years and is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women, and Lambda International Alpha  Honor Society, and Soroptimist International. While on the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation Board, she participated in capital campaigns which enabled Sutter Roseville to double in size. Bonnie received the Woman of Impact Award for 2012. She says "Memories of sales calls with my father as a young child and seeing homeless people living in stairwells or on the streets have always stayed with me. I've been blessed to live in suburban communities; however, homelessness does not discriminate."​

Tim Brekke

Principal at Brekke Ventures LLC serving non-profits and Taft Hartley Trust funds 30+ year Service Industry Executive in Northern California, Southern California, and Pacific Northwest. Clients included Technology, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Retail, Commercial Real Estate, and Airports.  Fiduciary trustee on four Taft Hartley Trust funds and a Masters Trustee graduate from the IFEBP.  A five year supporter of The Gathering Inn: financially, as a church volunteer, and as my church coordinator in Loomis.  I’ve had a heart for the homeless for most of my adult life supporting Loaves and Fishes, Glide Memorial, and The Salvation Army. 

Bernie Tomei, Treasurer 

Branch Manager/Sr Mortgage Advisor with Gold Star Financial in Rocklin

Bernie brings more than 18 years of finance experience to The Gathering Inn. Inspired by the passing of her father on the streets of Roseville in 2012, Bernie brings  a personal passion to help serve the homeless community of Placer County and a first-hand knowledge of the need for homeless services. When not working she stays busy keeping up with her two young daughters.​

Lynda Dasaro 

Human Resource Director for Sutter Roseville Medical Center/Sutter Auburn Faith Hospitals

Lynda has over 20 years of HR experience and works closely with the Senior Management team at Sutter. In one of her key roles, she has five years of successful contract negotiations with various labor groups. Lynda’s passion for the homeless is very strong and she is a great resource for The Gathering Inn with her HR background and her long-standing, excellent reputation within the Sutter system.​

Cheryl Snyder 

Retired CPA, Cheryl Snyder CPA – Corporate Accounting Services

Cheryl graduated from USC in Accounting, worked for Price Waterhouse & Co, Pedus Service Inc., and JPS Services, Inc. as CFO. In 2004 she moved to Lincoln with her husband, John. She has been a director of TGI’s Board since 2007, seven years as Treasurer, now overseeing the financial reporting for Gathering In Style boutique. Cheryl says, "We are all in need of something from someone at some time.My passion for helping the homeless began with church activities in Southern California and is nurtured by my continued association with TGI.

Greg Cerlenko

Past President - Retired COO Sacramento Habitat for Humanity

Forty-nine years in business working for Fortune 100 firms in the capacity of executive management ranging from VP President of Sales & Marketing to Chief Operating Officer. In addition has sat on three other non-profit boards, a non-profit consultant proactive local volunteer for many years. He brings a broad base of business and non-profit knowledge and experience to The Gathering Inn.​

Jason Compton 

District Manager, US Bank Officer

Jason's focus in banking is to help people achieve the American dream of home ownership. With a successful 20 year career in banking and having been raised by a single mom with four children who often wondered about their next move and meal, he decided to give back and focus his efforts on those who weren't fortunate enough to escape homelessness. Jason moved to Roseville in 1995 where he currently works and resides with his wife Amy and son Aidin.
